Visit of Chief General Manager, NABARD Raipur to TDF Project Site, Manora, Jashpur

On 15th March 2025, Dr. Gyanendra Mani, Chief General Manager (CGM), NABARD Raipur, visited the TDF (Tribal Development Fund) project site at Manora in Jashpur district, Chhattisgarh. The visit was a part of NABARD’s ongoing commitment to assess and encourage sustainable development initiatives in tribal regions.

The TDF project, executed and managed by the implementing organization READS (Rural Education and Development Society), aims to improve the livelihoods and quality of life of tribal communities through holistic interventions such as orchard development, soil and water conservation, capacity building, and livelihood diversification.

During the visit, Dr. Gyanendra Mani reviewed the progress of the project and interacted with the tribal beneficiary families who have been positively impacted by the initiative. He expressed satisfaction with the outcomes and lauded the efforts of READS in effectively implementing the project and ensuring community participation at every level.

The CGM also visited individual orchards, water harvesting structures, and livelihood support activities developed under the project. His interaction with the community reflected the encouraging stories of improved income, food security, and sustainable agricultural practices being adopted in the region.

This visit reinforced NABARD’s vision of inclusive development through need-based projects in rural and tribal belts. The TDF project at Manora stands as a successful model of how dedicated project execution, community involvement, and institutional support can bring about meaningful change in the lives of marginalized communities.

READS continues to play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between developmental resources and grassroots implementation, contributing significantly to NABARD’s tribal development agenda in Jashpur district.
