Pandrutoli village in Jashpur district, Chhattisgarh, has emerged as a model for successful pear farming. Around 60% of the households in the village are now cultivating pear orchards, leading to a significant improvement in their economic condition.

Earlier, farmers depended on traditional crops, but now with advanced farming techniques and better guidance, they are earning between ₹4 to ₹5 lakh annually. Each pear tree produces up to 280 kg of fruit, which is sold at good market prices.

This transformation has been driven by the farmers’ hard work, awareness, and adoption of modern agricultural practices. Today, Pandrapateli stands as an inspiration for other villages, encouraging farmers to shift towards horticulture and high-income crops.

This success story not only highlights new opportunities in agriculture but also showcases how rural economies can grow through innovation and smart farming.
