READS participated in NAB Foundation’s 6th Year Establishment Ceremony at Mumbai

We, at READS NGO, Jashpur, had the privilege of participating in the NAB Foundation's 6th Year Establishment Ceremony held on the 29th and 30th of August at the NABARD Head Office in Mumbai. This prestigious event brought together numerous stakeholders from across India to celebrate the remarkable contributions of various organizations towards rural development and sustainability.

As part of the Project Bazaar, READS showcased a diverse range of handmade products crafted by Chhattisgarh's indigenous tribal communities. These products, representing the rich heritage and craftsmanship of the region, were displayed alongside those of other participating NGOs from nine different states. The Project Bazaar provided a valuable platform for promoting the artistry of tribal artisans while highlighting the importance of sustainable livelihoods.

We were also honored to present our ongoing NABARD and NAB Foundation-supported initiatives to distinguished guests, including Shri. Shaji K V, Chairman of NABARD. These projects include:

WADI Project: Aimed at enhancing livelihoods through agroforestry and sustainable farming practices in tribal areas.

Kuposhan Se Bachav Project: Focused on combatting malnutrition through community-driven health interventions.

Watershed Development Projects: Ensuring water security and promoting sustainable land-use practices in rural areas.

These projects, implemented by READS, are making a significant impact in over 50 villages across the districts of Jashpur, Surajpur, and Balarampur in Chhattisgarh, positively transforming the lives of thousands of rural and tribal families.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to NABARD and the NAB Foundation for their continuous support and look forward to furthering our collaborative efforts towards sustainable rural development.
