NABARD CGM Dr Gyanendra Mani Ji 2-Day Visit Programme

As part of NABARD’s ongoing efforts to review and strengthen developmental initiatives at the grassroots level, a two-day visit was undertaken by the Chief General Manager (CGM), NABARD, Dr. Gyanendra Mani Ji, to the project areas and activities implemented by READS organization in Jashpur district. The visit aimed to assess the progress of various farm, non-farm, livelihood, watershed, and tribal development projects, while directly interacting with beneficiaries, farmers, Self Help Groups, and community institutions.


DAY – 1 (23 January 2026)

On 23 January 2026, NABARD CGM Dr. Gyanendra Mani Ji visited the office of READS organization. During the first day of his visit, the CGM reviewed the institutional functioning of READS and appreciated the organization’s efforts. He encouraged the staff and field functionaries with his motivating words, inspiring them to continue their dedicated service for rural development.


Subsequently, the CGM visited the Wadi Field under the TDF Project in Jashpur (Village – Korenrenga, Block – Jashpur), where he appreciated the hard work, dedication, and commitment of the farmers involved in Wadi development Programme.

Thereafter, he visited the Gamala Making Training Program under Non-Farm Training at Village – Korenrenga, Block – Jashpur, and intricated with SHG member (Training). The CGM lauded the enthusiasm of the trainees and their strong desire to become self-reliant through skill development.


Following this, a visit was made to Harit Jashpur Sahkari Samiti Maryadit (FPO) at Village – Aara, Block – Jashpur, where the CGM inaugurated the Input Center. On this occasion, he motivated and encouraged the FPO member farmers to strengthen collective farming and entrepreneurship.


In the final phase of the day, the TDF Bagicha–Manora Project was inaugurated at Village – Patiya, Block – Manora. The event was also graced by Shri Abhishek Kumar (IAS), CEO, Zila Panchayat Jashpur. During the program, pump sets were distributed to Wadi beneficiaries by the CGM and the CEO. The project was formally launched with plantation(Apple & Pear) activities, marking the successful completion of the first day’s schedule.


DAY – 2 (24 January 2026)

On 24 January 2026, CGM Dr. Gyanendra Mani Ji visited the Maina–Larenga–Lodhana watershed area. During the visit, detailed discussions were held with the Village Watershed Committee (VWC) regarding ongoing activities, and the CGM Sir Visited the watershed structures constructed Like FB, RFB, Gabion, LBS, Farm Pond, Bori Bandh, Advance Agriculture Farming etc. under this Watershed project.


Thereafter, a meeting was organized with Self Help Group (SHG) members, focusing on livelihood enhancement, income generation activities, and the importance of community participation in sustainable development.


During the second day, biogas stoves (Chulha) were distributed to beneficiaries by the CGM, promoting clean energy, improved health conditions, and environmental conservation. The visit provided valuable guidance and encouragement to the implementing agency as well as the local community.


The two-day visit of NABARD CGM Dr. Gyanendra Mani Ji proved to be highly inspiring and impactful for READS organization and the beneficiary communities. His valuable guidance, encouragement, and direct interaction with farmers, SHGs, and community institutions reinforced the spirit of participatory development and self-reliance. The visit not only strengthened the implementation of ongoing projects but also motivated stakeholders to work collectively towards sustainable rural and tribal development in the region.
